INNOVATIVE AID  

      Semester 4 



As part of the B.Ed. curriculum, and under the guidance of Dr. Reshmi K. S., an innovative teaching aid in the form of a NotebookLM video on the “Production of Hydrogen” was prepared to enhance classroom instruction. The video was designed to present the concept in a clear, structured, and engaging manner by integrating text explanations, diagrams, images, and audio narration. It covered the various methods of hydrogen production—such as laboratory preparation, electrolysis of water, and industrial methods—while highlighting the underlying chemical principles, equations, and safety precautions.

The use of NotebookLM enabled effective organization of content and transformation of complex theoretical ideas into simplified visual representations, thereby supporting better conceptual understanding among learners. This innovative aid also promoted self-paced learning, as students could revisit the video to reinforce key concepts. Overall, the preparation of the NotebookLM video demonstrated the effective use of ICT in chemistry teaching, encouraged learner engagement, and reflected a student-centered approach aligned with modern pedagogical practices.

  TEACHING PRACTICE PHASE I  WEEK 5 11/08/2025 - 16/08/2025 INTRODUCTION   During the fifth week of my teaching practice (Phase I), I actively engaged in both academic and co-curricular activities. I handled four periods in my subject and took part in the school assembly . The week was marked by the celebration of World Elephant Day and World Organ Donation Day . I also had the opportunity to assist in the Shraddha class , teaching both Malayalam and Hindi. In addition, I participated in the Independence Day celebration , the mid-day meal distribution, and contributed to the smooth conduct of the eye check-up camp organized in the school. Teaching Practice Phase I Week 3

  TEACHING PRACTICE PHASE I  Week 3 28/07/2025 - 01/08/2025 INTRODUCTION  This week has been both engaging and enriching, offering me multiple opportunities to connect with students beyond the classroom. I handled five periods, ensuring that my lessons were meaningful and interactive. To mark the death anniversary of Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam on July 28 , I conducted a quiz competition that helped students learn more about his inspirational life and vision for the nation. On July 29, we celebrated International Tiger Day, highlighting the significance of tiger conservation through various activities. I also participated actively in the Shraddha remedial class and contributed to the mid-day meal program, supporting students’ learning and well-being.
