As part of my B.Ed curriculum, I prepared a digital text on the topic Hydrogen from the unit Non-metals in the SCERT Chemistry textbook (Part II). The material was developed using Padlet, which enabled the integration of various multimedia features to make the content interactive and learner-friendly. The digital text included the discovery of hydrogen, its story accessed through QR code, general properties, isotopes, laboratory and industrial preparation, physical and chemical properties, the pop test, and its uses. It also explored hydrogen as a next-generation fuel, the calorific value of fuels, and their comparisons. To support active learning, sections such as assessment time, DIY activities, extended tasks, and links to Instagram posts, YouTube videos, blogs, e-books, and PYQs were added. The resource further included text material, PDF notes, PPT notes, a flipbook on hydrogen, and an audiobook, along with the necessary references. By combining images, videos, audio, QR codes, hyperlinks, flipbooks, PDFs, PPTs, and textual material, this digital text provided a rich, multimodal learning experience that enhanced students’ understanding and engagement with the topic.

  TEACHING PRACTICE PHASE I  WEEK 5 11/08/2025 - 16/08/2025 INTRODUCTION   During the fifth week of my teaching practice (Phase I), I actively engaged in both academic and co-curricular activities. I handled four periods in my subject and took part in the school assembly . The week was marked by the celebration of World Elephant Day and World Organ Donation Day . I also had the opportunity to assist in the Shraddha class , teaching both Malayalam and Hindi. In addition, I participated in the Independence Day celebration , the mid-day meal distribution, and contributed to the smooth conduct of the eye check-up camp organized in the school.   TEACHING PRACTICE PHASE I  Week 3 28/07/2025 - 01/08/2025 INTRODUCTION  This week has been both engaging and enriching, offering me multiple opportunities to connect with students beyond the classroom. I handled five periods, ensuring that my lessons were meaningful and interactive. To mark the death anniversary of Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam on July 28 , I conducted a quiz competition that helped students learn more about his inspirational life and vision for the nation. On July 29, we celebrated International Tiger Day, highlighting the significance of tiger conservation through various activities. I also participated actively in the Shraddha remedial class and contributed to the mid-day meal program, supporting students’ learning and well-being.
